The Bible says that we are to ‘love our enemies, and pray for those who persecute us,’ so we maintain the ‘finest killing force the world has ever known’ and we spend the money to prove it. Image what this country would be like if we diverted half of our defense budget* ($292.5 billion) and half of our military personal (1,059,000 men and women) to work on our domestic needs such as fixing our dilapidating highways and dilapidating communities. The military loves to brag how superior their personnel are; this would be a great way to show it off.
Instead we focus on how many women we can turn into killing machines. Men have been doing it for years (and are often exonerated for it in the movies and TV). Now it is the women’s turn. There is no doubt that women can be just as vicious as men — so let’s provide them with the latest weapons and train them to kill with the greatest efficiency. “Peace be hanged,’ give me a good war.
